Vivian Alexander spent 7 remarkable years working with the Forbes Museum in New York City to create egg sculptures using original Fabergé techniques. At one time the entire Forbes Fabergé egg collection numbered over 500 pieces and was considered to be the largest private collection of Fabergé in the world.
The Forbeses and their museum curator allowed Vivian Alexander to examine, photograph and measure any piece that we were considering for replication.
When Vivian Alexander completed sculpting a Fabergé egg, the curator would examine it to determine if it met Forbes Museum’s exacting standards. Until their final stamp of approval was received, no egg sculpture could be presented to the public or sold.
Upon approval, a piece was considered an authentic Forbes Fabergé egg, and Vivian Alexander was permitted to attach proof of inclusion in the Forbes Museum Collection.
