Vivian Alexander becomes an ardent admirer of the Russian ballet as it commemorates renowned choreographer, George Balanchine. Creator of the famous New York City Ballet, Balanchine is considered one of the foremost choreographers of Russian and modern ballet today. Two of his most famous ballets, The Nutcracker and Jewels, can still be seen worldwide. To celebrate these two brilliant works, Vivian Alexander has created two pieces that are as beautiful as the treasures created by George Balanchine.

Vivian Alexander has evolved into a new era. By taking the traditional footed egg purse and today’s fashion, Vivian Alexander has created a new look that has never been seen before. With its 1920’s influences and today’s style this line immortalizes Art Deco in a whole new way. These purses are no longer footed and are nothing but silver and black, making it the thing to wear with that little black dress.
