The Faberge Miniaudière – A Fashion Staple

The miniaudière remains a staple of both ready to wear and couture fashion. Vivian Alexander started crafting its now infamous "egg purse" version in 1991 out of rhea shells. And while our original miniaudi&eagrave;res won Best of Show awards at the Fashion International competition in New Orleans, today's Viv Alex enthusiast would say they were plain by current standards.
