Moroccan Folk Art

Moroccan Folk Art is at once historic, primitive, majestic, and dazzling. A very ancient land, populated with many diverse cultures has been a melting pot for centuries, and as a result, the art is both unique and very colorful. We named this purse Moroccan Folk Art, and we dug very deep into the legends and culture to give this piece a true sense of this ancient world. Bright dazzling colors electrify the innermost senses and intricate designs handed down and refined by generations, appeal directly to the imagination and innermost feelings.

We were blessed with an opportunity to study a beautiful set of Moroccan cabinet doors, owned by one of our valued customers. From these old doors we were able to create the design foundation for this purse, and to grasp the subtle nuances of the legendary color palette of the ancient art of this far off land. Fortunately the color palette developed was found in our very large selection of colors, collected over many years of diverse enameling work, carried out by our talented artisans.

The result is a completely unique, colorful, and captivating design unlike anything we have created before. The days of research and the untold hours of creation and delicate enameling  preclude a similar project being taken on any time soon. The photography does not adequately capture the appeal to the imagination and hidden senses that viewers will feel when first encountering this elegant evening purse, to be carried to a full dress ball or formal gathering.
