Cannes Alligator

This is a custom handmade minaudiere by Vivian Alexander; this purse is lovingly made as a gift to honor the mayor of La Cannet for her hospitality to the Acadiana, Louisiana delegation during the Cannes Film Festival, 2010. 

The purse has panels of Louisiana alligator ox blood skin, guarded by curving panels of jet black baked enamel, all placed over a background of beaujolais enamel. The various panels are guarded by prong set crystal chain and flanked with gold box chain. The interior is lined with sand washed silk and has a round beveled mirror attached to the top.

A detachable eleven inch gold mesh strap is added to accommodate the wearing of the purse from the wrist. The base of the purse is engraved with the unique Vivian Alexander logo, and the interior has this logo attached to the rim also. The purse stands six and one half inches tall, four and one half inches in diameter, and is entirely made of engine turned fine silver. 

We have had a number of calls wanting the details of this purse after it was featured in the Cannes Film Festival, so we decided to add it to our collection of Elegance purses. As with any of our other evening purses, you can ask for a different color pattern and also a different color of Louisiana alligator skin. And of course you can have a thirty six inch shoulder strap instead of the standard eleven inch wrist strap. Just let us know your wishes!
