The craftsmanship tops anything we've done before (and they thought it wasn't possible). Alex brought together a team of Louisiana artisans, each from ancient guilds, to add this inaugural jester ornament to our exclusive collection.

How our handsome jester came to be:

1. Lead designer Liza Caldwell created the original rough model from art clay.
2. Our top production modeler transformed this clay sculpture into a castable wax armature that was then hand cast into pewter.
3. From this pewter cast, our Russian trained silversmith crafted the final bare metal (.999 pure silver) guilloché ornament.
4. Vivian Alexander acclaimed enamellists then kiln baked 5 different colors of translucent enamel onto the ornament to properly clothe our jester.
5. Finally, the jester's pearls were added to his 3-point cap and the gold beads attached to his hatband.

Mardi Gras ornament collectors will note the silver plaque embedded in the enamel stating its .999 silver metal composition as well as the provenance of Vivian Alexander. Each jester ornament is also numbered as one of a limited series of 200 for 2009.
