After Fabergé saw an ancient casket in the Green Vaults in Dresden, he went back to St. Petersburg and made a new one for Czarina Marie Feodorovina for Easter 1894.
Alexander saw the 1894 Easter casket in the Forbes Museum in 1998. He returned to his Studio in Louisiana to create this beautiful interpretation for his exclusive clientele.
