Extraordinary objects; extraordinary service  7.29.2008

I own a number of Vivian Alexander's large eggs but I reserve a special place in my heart for her extraordinary recreation of Faberge's Chanticleer Egg. I consider it first among equals of all her Faberge recreations. So you can imagine my distress when the clock embedded in the center of this magnificient egg slipped from my hand after cleaning and crashed to the floor. As soon as I calmed down I e-mailed Alexander, explaining what had happened and hoping that he might be able to help me. He replied immediately, directing me to send the battered clock to him in Louisiana. Within less than two weeks he returned the clock to me, completely restored, and it is now safely embedded once again in the center of the incomparable Chanticleer Egg. I could not be more grateful for his kindness and his service and, if anything, I cherish and admire the Chanticleer Egg even more than before.

My teenage daughter and I love VIVIAN ALEXANDER!!!We first saw the egg purses in a Ritz Carlton Hotel Gift Shop, and were completely enamored with them. My favorite egg purse that I own is the retired Czarina. It is pale pink with green and is a music box. My daughter has one egg purse (Pink Lady) which she displays in the curio cabinet in her bedroom. My VIVIAN ALEXANDER collectables are displayed in a curio cabinet in our living room. I have 9 purses, 2 goose egg clocks, 1 large clock, 2 footed ring boxes, 1 Christmas ornament, 1 pewter ornament, 5 jewelry boxes, 5 pill boxes, 1 egg necklace, and a rooster brooch. We love that we can wear the egg purses and then take the straps off, tuck them inside the egg, and return it to the curio cabinet for display. I also display my egg necklace on a pill box stand with the chain tucked inside the pill box. ALEX and his daughter RUSH are absolutely WONDERFUL!!! Vivian Alexander has the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! It is an honor to be able to display their BEAUTIFUL TREASURES in our home.

Dear Alex and Vivian, I went to the Zoo to Doo last evening and carried my beautiful egg purse. It was the hit of the evening. I have thoroughly enjoyed taking it with me on my special occasions and not so special occasions. Usually, men take notice of it first stating how quite the spectacle it is and all the women ooh and ahhh over it. Thanks so much for following your dream and your hearts. My brother gave me a surprise gift for my 50th birthday and it was one of your bags. Today for the first time, I looked up your name online and came across your website. And what a wonderful and lovely website it is! I do not recall registering the bag with you. My bag was purchased in NYC about 10 years ago, (since I know have turned 60). You still have the Elegance Red bag for sale. I am curious, since mine is 10 yrs. old, is it still the same price at what you are selling now? I love the bag and have used it for weddings; but lately I have put it with my collection of limoge boxes, so now it is retired..and it still is in perfect condition. Thank you for making a lovely and wonderful bag and what a wonderful remembrance from my only brother for my 50th birthday.

I just sat down to read my paper, and saw the article on the egg class. You all were so wonderful and helpful, and we had so much fun. Please put Chase and my names on your waiting list. We would love to do another class. Do you have a tentative date yet? We are being transferred to the Ft. Worth area in early July, but would love to come back for the classes even after we move.
