Vivian Alexander Version of a 1903 Present to Dowager Empress Marie Feodorovia

Presented by Czar Nicholas II to the Dowager Empress Marie Feodorovia on Easter 1903, the clock stands 12-5/8 inches when open. The Vivian Alexander version is 15 inches, open.
Our sculpture, like the original, consists of a fine silver (.999%) guilloché egg overlaid with a dazzling blue enamel.
The pedestal has 4 panels of the same cobalt blue.
Turn a knob on the back of the egg and the multi-colored bejeweled cockerel pushes open the cage and emerges.
