The Art of the Egg

A Quick Lesson in Physics

I am often asked how I am able to clean out so many eggs; don't my lungs give out before the job is done?

Well, blowing an egg-shell out, be it goose or ostrich, is not done by breath alone. In fact blowing them by mouth is not advised at all!

The trick is to blow them out from the inside. Have you noticed that all egg shells that you buy have only one blow-hole instead of two? Two holes would completely ruin this simple but effective method of cleaning out a shell. With only one round hole cut into one of the shell. Take a can of WD-40, with stem attached, and push it up into the hole. A quick blast from the stem will send the egg contents gushing out.

Wash out the shell, and you are done!]]>
